Privacy
Athdex is a private-beta training analysis application. This page explains how the application handles the data you choose to provide or connect.
Data you choose to connect
Athdex stores the training, race, wellness, profile, and conversation data you provide or connect so it can build your unified athletic record and answer your questions.
If you use Sign in with Google, Google provides your name, email address, and basic profile information so Athdex can authenticate you and identify your Athdex account. Athdex uses that information only for login and account identity; it does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or other Google account content.
When you connect Intervals.icu, Athdex requests read-only access to activities, wellness data, sport settings, and calendar plans. Calendar access is optional; if it is not granted, activity and wellness import still works. OAuth credentials are stored server-side and are not shown to the analysis model or other athletes. Strava-origin records received through Intervals.icu are excluded at the API boundary.
How your data is used
Your data is used to reconcile source records, calculate training context, and generate the analysis you request. Athlete-authored and TrainingPeaks values remain distinct from provider-derived values so the application can explain where a metric came from.
Athdex does not sell athlete data or use it for advertising.
AI processing
When you send a message, relevant portions of your athletic record and conversation are processed by Anthropic or OpenAI to generate a response, depending on the request. Either provider may also be used as a fallback when the other is unavailable.
When it is relevant to your request, those portions may include exact equipment, injuries or health conditions, medications, supplements, a recent dated body-weight measurement, and bounded excerpts from documents you uploaded. Athdex does not send your entire profile merely because it is on file.
Opted-in weekly briefings use OpenAI for analysis and may include recent race records and athlete-reported life events relevant to the week, such as travel, stress, illness, or injury. This additional weekly context covers the report period and recent preceding races, and is not sent to a fallback provider. Athdex does not send general health documents or the entire profile for this purpose.
Anthropic and OpenAI handle API request data under their applicable service terms and retention policies. Neither provider uses commercial API inputs or outputs to train its models by default.
Provider routing is automatic; athletes do not select a provider for individual requests. Athdex is a training-analysis tool, not a substitute for medical advice or professional care.
Storage and access
Athlete data is protected by account authentication and database access controls. It is not available to other athletes. Service providers process limited data only as needed to host the application, maintain connected integrations, or generate requested analysis.
Your choices
You can disconnect Intervals.icu or Strava at any time. When disconnecting Intervals.icu, you can keep the imported contribution history or request that all Intervals.icu contributions be removed and canonical records be rebuilt from the sources you retained.
During the beta period, Athdex may review and use the content of your chats to evaluate response quality and improve product quality. You can opt out of that chat review and product-improvement use by emailing support@athdex.com.
Opting out does not delete your chats or prevent Athdex from storing and processing them to provide the chat service and preserve your chat history. Account deletion is a separate choice described below.
You can delete your account yourself at any time under Account settings → Delete your account. Deleting removes your athlete record and its history, and removes the private files you uploaded; it cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it for you, email support@athdex.com.
